Hardy, Arkansas Hardy is a quaint little town located in the northeast corner of Arkansas in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. Conveniently located on US Highway 63/412, a major traffic route, about half way between Memphis, Tennessee (135 miles) and Springfield, Missouri (150 miles).
Located on the banks of the Spring River, Hardy and the surrounding Quad City area (Hardy, Ash Flat, Highland, and Cherokee Village) offers endless attractions and recreation, such as canoe and float trips down the river, some of the country's best fishing, and thousands of acres of prime hunting land!
Mammoth Spring, flowing at over nine million gallons of 58-degree water per hour, serves as the headwaters for the river and provides plenty of fresh water throughout the year.
Hardy's central downtown area is on the National Register of Historic Places and retains its quaint turn-of-the-century appearance to this day. With new growth appearing on the outskirts of town, Hardy's Main Street remains a haven for antique and craft shops for your shopping pleasure. While the main "season" runs from early Spring to late Fall, you will find Hardy a great place to visit all year long!
Looking out at the town from the Old Hardy Hotel's balcony and from the sidewalk in front of the hotel you will notice that the buildings in Hardy remain just as they were built starting over 100 years ago! Hardy is a virtual goldmine of antique treasures. You can also see that Hardy draws a pretty good crowd for it's local events. In several pictures you can see some of the motorcycles in town for the Spring River Motorcycle Rally that is held every year.
